We're a husband and wife team starting out on a venture to build an ethically-based business. By this we mean a business that trades fairly and, where possible, uses fairly traded products.
At the moment, we are both full time secondary school teachers so this enterprise is something of a ‘hobby’ rather than a living. We simply felt that we wanted to start something whereby we could make a little bit of a difference in our often greedy and exploitative world and thus this website has been born.
Additionally, we guarantee that 20% of the profit from every sale goes directly to our friends at: http://www.starfish-malawi.org.uk who are working on education projects in Malawi, Africa. This donation comes from our profit so that we bear the cost - not our customers.
Throughout the site we will try to inform you as to the details of each product in terms of where it was made and the project’s name and goals.
